Job summary

Generator Supercenter is seeking a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician to service and repair whole home standby generators across the surrounding area. You will travel in a company vehicle to customer residences, diagnose issues, read manuals, and perform preventative maintenance.

The role emphasizes safety, strong customer communication, and accurate documentation in our software system. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with schedule adjustments to meet customer needs

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Problem-solving, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently demonstrating initiative.
• Reading and comprehension skills to understand technical manuals, electrical wiring diagrams, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Technicians will be provided with a daily workload of service/maintenance calls on Generac generators.
• Travel to/from customer’s residence using company vehicle.
• Communicate with customers regarding arrival, work performed, issues resolved, etc.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on home generators.
• Follow manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures.
