Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician to repair and maintain whole-home generators at customers’ residences. You will travel in a company vehicle, communicate with customers, and use manuals and schematics to diagnose and fix issues.

Safety and accuracy are essential as you work with electrical systems and transfer switches. The role requires coordination with the Service Manager to plan routes, schedule visits, and ensure high-quality service for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with mechanical small engine repair.
• Experience with electrical wiring.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Must be able to drive company vehicles to each job site.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather and temperatures.
• Physically able to perform duties (bending, stooping, climbing ladders, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer’s residence using company vehicle.
• Communicate with customers regarding arrival and work progress.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain home generators.
• Follow manuals, diagrams, and procedures.
• Test and troubleshoot automatic transfer switches.
• Document services in the electronic system.
• Adhere to safety practices and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
