Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician to plan work with the Service Manager and travel to customer residences to repair and perform preventive maintenance on whole-home standby generators.

You will read manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints, and update the service system with job details using company tools. The role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical repair knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Problem-solving, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently demonstrating initiative.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer’s residence using company vehicle.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding arrival, work being performed, issues resolved, etc.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on the customer’s home generator.
• Follow technical instruction manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures.
• Test, troubleshoot, and operate automatic transfer switches.
• Document services using an electronic software system.
• Adhere to all safety practices and requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
