Job summary

Uniti Group's Kinetic unit is seeking a Construction Technician-Line Worker to install, repair, and maintain poles, cables and conduits; installing aerial and buried fiber and copper in the telecommunications space, both above ground and underground. You will run fiber and copper, splice as needed, and ensure safety and quality on every job site.

The role requires travel up to 50% of the year, weekend and holiday work, and overtime.

Qualifications

• Outside plant construction experience or related trade school certification is required.
• Pole climbing certification and OSHA 10 Hour Safety course are preferred.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds and work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain poles and aerial cables; set up service for customers and test/adjust equipment.
• String cables between structures, pull lines, and manage tension using appropriate equipment.
• Splice copper and fiber cables and perform routine maintenance per safety standards.
