Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a Construction Technician‑Line Worker to install, repair, and maintain poles, cables, and conduits in telecommunications environments. The role involves aerial and underground work, splicing copper and fiber, and working with heavy equipment in various terrains.

The position requires travel, possible weekend work, standby hours, and overtime. It is a safety sensitive role with strict adherence to DOT and safety guidelines. Union bidding may apply.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in outside plant construction.
• Pole climbing certification and OSHA 10 Hour Safety Course.
• Ability to operate various construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain poles.
• Install aerial cables (fiber and copper) and set up service for customers.
• Measure signal strength at utility poles with test equipment.
• Inspect lines or cables and analyze results to locate faults.
• Work in trenches or manholes and string cables between structures.
• Operate heavy machinery and use various construction equipment.
• Splice copper and fiber cables as required.
• Travel up to 50% of the year; may require overtime and on-call rotations.
