Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a line worker to install, repair, and maintain poles, cables, and conduits across various sites in the field. The role involves aerial and underground work, climbing, and operating heavy equipment to build and repair fiber networks.

The position requires safety-minded teamwork, the ability to follow engineering specifications, and flexibility to travel up to 50% with weekend and holiday hours when needed. Training and on-the-job safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Pole climbing certification required or preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to pass DOT pre-hire checks.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience with construction equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and trenchers is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in all weather conditions.
• OSHA 10-hour safety training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain poles, and install aerial and underground cables.
• Set up service for customers by installing, testing, and adjusting equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks and climb poles to string lines and install terminal boxes.
• Read blueprints and staking sheets; follow design engineers’ instructions and safety procedures.
• Maintain inventory, perform DOT vehicle inspections, and complete paperwork accurately.
