Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a skilled technician to provide on-site service for Rotary Vacuum Chamber and related packaging equipment in protein processor plants. The role emphasizes safety leadership, preventative maintenance, and strong collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Ideal candidates will have a technical degree (Megatronics preferred), 3–5 years in food packaging, and the ability to travel 75%+ with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical Degree or equivalent in electrical or mechanical technology.
• Ability to drive, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate tools and parts, stoop, kneel, talk, hear and have good near and far vision.
• The position requires climbing, balancing and occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds.
• 3–5 years experience in food packaging industry (material & machinery).
• Willing to travel 75% or more with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
• Understands customer requirements relating to problems to products and equipment.
• Services customer equipment to maintain optimum performance of equipment and materials.
• Provides preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support for Rotary Chamber and other equipment at customer facilities using Amcor materials.
• Maintains accurate and timely reports on work activities and time utilization.
• Assists in the installation and start-up of packaging equipment manufactured and sold by AFNA.
• Assist in rebuilding Rotary Chamber equipment in Amcor's RE&D facility in New London, WI.
• Provides input into design, installation and start-up of packaging equipment.
• Conducts training for customers on proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Assists on projects and may take the lead on smaller tasks within a project.
• Establishes and maintains effective relations with customers, sales personnel and internal AFNA staff.
