Job summary

Amcor is seeking an onsite service technician to support Rotary Vacuum Chamber and other packaging equipment at protein processor plants. A mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong problem‑solving skills is required.

Travel up to 75% and driver’s license are expected to cover customer sites across regions. In this role you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer training to ensure equipment operates at peak performance.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical degree or equivalent in electrical or mechanical technology or similar discipline preferred.
• Megatronics training and certification preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years in food packaging industry (materials & machinery). Willing to travel 75%+ and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
• Understanding customer requirements relating to problems to products and equipment.
• Servicing customer equipment to maintain optimum performance of equipment, packaging films and shrink bag materials.
• Provides preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support for Rotary Chamber and other packaging equipment at customer facilities.
• Maintains accurate and timely reports on work activities and time utilization.
• Assists in installation and start-up of packaging equipment manufactured and sold by AFNA.
• Assists in rebuilding Rotary Chamber equipment at Amcor’s RE&D facility in New London, WI.
• Provides input into design, installation and start-up of packaging equipment from outside suppliers or RE&D.
• Conducts training for customers on operation and maintenance of equipment.
