Job summary

Amcor is seeking a technically capable Field Service Technician to provide efficient onsite service to Rotary Vacuum Chamber and packaging equipment at protein processor plants. Level II requires mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot most issues and occasionally support management on difficult problems.

The role involves safety leadership, preventive maintenance, installation, startup, and customer training, with travel up to 75% and the opportunity to work within

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical technology preferred.
• Megatronics training and certification preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in food packaging industry (material & machinery).
• Willing to travel 75%+ and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
• Services customer equipment to maintain optimum performance of equipment and materials.
• Provides preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support for Rotary Chamber and other packaging equipment.
• Installs and starts up packaging equipment; trains customers on operation and maintenance.
• Completes reports within 5 days and submits expense reports on time.
