Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Engineering Specialist for the Core Lab to support customers in the NYC area, including Queens, NY. The role focuses on on-site service, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs of Roche products, with extensive travel and hands-on problem solving.

Ideal candidates have a technical background, strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hardware, software, and networking domains, and the ability to build solid customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 1–2 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking.
• Willingness to travel, including some overnight travel, is required.

Responsibilities

• Showcase expertise in technical repair for Roche assigned product lines.
• Provide routine on-site service and repair of Roche products to laboratory customers.
• Serve as customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
• Document all activities and contribute to quality improvement to maximize customer satisfaction.
