Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Engineering Specialist for the Core Lab in Queens, NY. You will repair Roche product lines, provide on-site support to laboratory customers, and diagnose mechanical and software issues. A mix of biomedical/engineering background and hands-on repair experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2 years of technical school or equivalent training/experience
• 5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking
• Bachelor’s degree path alternative with relevant experience or credentials
• Certification or training as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy

Responsibilities

• Showcase expertise in technical repair for Roche assigned product lines
• Provide routine technical support, on-site service and repair of Roche products
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures
• Document activities and contribute to quality improvement; maximize customer satisfaction
• Travel to customer sites; field-based responsibilities in NYC, Long Island and Northern NJ

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field

2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience

Successfully training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy
