Job summary

QuidelOrtho is seeking a Field Engineer I to support customers across the South Carolina territory, based in the Myrtle Beach area. The role offers a company car, gas card, cell phone, and laptop, with maintenance covered. Travel to Rochester, NY for initial training and up to 75% ongoing travel are expected.

Minimum 4 years in field service with an electronics/electrical/mechanical background, associate degree or equivalent; valid driver's license required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or 4 years field service experience.
• At least 4 years installing, operating, maintaining, repairing electromechanical equipment.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs and hold a valid driver’s license; travel 50–75%.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electromechanical equipment in the field.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and system issues.
• Assess customer needs and recommend product solutions.
• Provide on-site training and act as local representative.
• Manage preventive maintenance and upgrades; travel as required.
• Meet customer credentialing requirements including immunizations.
