Job summary

QuidelOrtho, a leading in vitro diagnostics company, is seeking a Field Engineer I in Anaheim, CA. This field-based role includes a company car, gas card, cell phone and laptop, with all vehicle maintenance covered.

The position covers customers across the Anaheim area; travel up to 75% domestically, first months to Rochester; must attend in-person client meetings and maintain equipment. You will install, operate, maintain, repair electromechanical equipment, troubleshoot issues, and train

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field service experience.
• Minimum 4 years installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying electromechanical equipment.
• Strong ability to organize and communicate ideas clearly, verbally and in writing.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Flexibility to travel 50–75% during training and up to 75% long-term.
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electromechanical equipment in field.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and determine solutions per specs.
• Provide on-site training and support to customers.
• Manage territory responsibilities including preventive maintenance and upgrades.
• Coordinate with sales, service and customers while documenting activities.
