Job summary

QuidelOrtho is seeking a Field Engineer I to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electromechanical diagnostics equipment across the Indianapolis area. You will be the on-site technician, providing technical support, training, and coordination with customers and internal teams.

The role requires 4+ years in field service, an electronics/engineering background, and willingness to travel up to 75%. A company car, gas card, cell phone and laptop are provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying electromechanical equipment, preferably in the field.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience required in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to travel up to 75% and work in hospital/clinic environments.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle required for travel to customer sites.
• Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electromechanical equipment in field settings.
• Assess customer needs and recommend product solutions based on specifications.
• Provide on-site training and product briefings for customers and vendors.
• Manage territory responsibilities including preventive maintenance and upgrades to hardware and software.
• Travel as needed; be the on-site liaison with customers and internal teams.
