Job summary

QuidelOrtho is seeking a Field Engineer I in Omaha, NE to install, maintain and repair electromechanical medical equipment in hospital and clinical settings. This field-based role includes a company car, gas card, cell phone and laptop, with all vehicle maintenance covered.

You will travel 50–75% in training to Rochester, NY initially, then across the territory, demonstrating strong problem-solving, customer service and safety awareness in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electronics or electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent 4 years of military or field service experience required.
• Minimum 4 years experience installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying electromechanical equipment, preferably in the field.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electromechanical equipment in field or hospital/clinic settings.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and provide product solutions aligned with specifications.
• Conduct on-site training and product briefings for customers and vendors as needed.
