Job summary

QuidelOrtho in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Field Engineer I to install, service and repair electromechanical diagnostic equipment in field or hospital settings. The role covers customers in the Anaheim area and includes a company vehicle, gas card, cell phone, laptop, and full vehicle maintenance.

Qualified candidates have an Associate’s degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; at least four years in field service, strong communication, and willingness to travel up

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent 4 years of military/field service.
• Minimum 4 years installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying electromechanical equipment in the field.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to organize and express ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electromechanical diagnostic equipment in field or hospital/clinic laboratory settings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems and determine solutions per product specifications.
• Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to align with customer needs.
• Provide technical training and product briefings to customers, vendors, and company representatives.
• Act as local on-site representative for customer organizations, overseeing territory responsibility, preventive maintenance, upgrades, software and hardware.
• Manage parts inventory, online training, and administrative expense reporting.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
