Job summary

Granite Construction Company is seeking an estimator who provides technical engineering and cost information to ensure construction work complies with engineering standards. You will assist with job controls, interpret drawings for craft workers, and prepare documentation to support accurate bids and schedules.

The role supports project material controls, prepares drawings and estimates for changing job requirements, and maintains bid files.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and take-off scheduling tools.
• Ability to interpret drawings and apply specs to field work.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specs.
• Prepare and disseminate records, reports, and sketches for accuracy.
• Provide technical support regarding material controls and schedules.
