Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a civil engineering professional to provide technical engineering and cost information to ensure construction work complies with all standards. This role emphasizes estimating support, drawing interpretation, and collaboration with on-site teams.

The candidate will manage records, prepare quantity take-offs, develop material and labor cost estimates, and assist in bid preparation while supporting safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AGTEK Take-off software.
• Ability to perform trigonometric calculations and read drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and support project schedule.
• Prepare and disseminate status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done, and material requirement calculations.
