Job summary

Granite Construction Company is seeking an experienced estimator/engineer to provide technical engineering and cost information to ensure construction work complies with all standards. You will support job controls, interpret drawings, and generate data for bids and schedules.

Collaborate with on-site teams, develop quantity takeoffs, material lists, and labor cost estimates, and prepare documentation for project management and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Admin or related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years in construction estimating support, engineering, or field support.
• Strong MS Office skills and AGTEK Take-off software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and support project schedule.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates.
• Develop data for quantities, material prices, and labor costs to support estimates.
