Job summary

Granite Construction seeks a technical estimator/engineering support professional to provide cost data and drawing interpretation for construction projects. You will assist with job controls, budgets and schedules, and prepare material take-offs, sketches and estimates to support bids.

Proficiency in MS Office and AGTEK Take-off software is preferred, along with the ability to analyze material requirements and cost drivers to help secure competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and take-off scheduling tools.
• Ability to interpret drawings and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls for contract, budget, schedule and costs.
• Interpret designs/drawings for craft workers to ensure specs are followed.
• Prepare drawings, sketches, material take-offs and cost estimates.
• Support project material controls, delivery dates and construction schedules.
• Maintain documentation and back-up data for bids and estimates.
