Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Engineer to support the Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP). You will monitor contractor work, prepare reports, and provide on-site technical guidance across the continental U.S., with approximately 80% travel and 20% off-site time.

The role requires 6–8 years of field inspection experience on transportation projects, strong communication, and willingness to travel. A HS diploma is required; an associate degree or certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years’ experience as a field inspector providing construction oversight on transportation projects, civil/structural.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project locations in the continental U.S. approximately 80% of time.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with post‑construction assessments to verify contract and ADA compliance.
• Retain all project reports and documentation in Unifier document control system.
• Participate in weekly contract progress meetings.
• Inspect warranty work and contractor performance during warranty period.
• Provide on-site support to COTR/RE and assist with various activities.
