Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Field Engineer to support the Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP). You will act as the on-site technical representative, monitor contractor execution, document inspections, and ensure ADA compliance across projects nationwide. The role requires frequent travel and strong communication with the COTR/RE.

The position involves coordinating safety, quality oversight, and reporting, with assignments across the continental U.S. and potential locations on the West Coast.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-8 years of field inspector experience with on-site construction oversight for transportation projects (civil/structural).
• Experience in facility renovation, historic preservation, rail transport, and ADA compliance.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site representative for COTR/RE; monitor contractor performance and prepare reports.
• Maintain project reports and documentation in Unifier system.
• Participate in weekly contract progress meetings and inspect warranty work.
• Prepare Accessibility Survey Assessment System (ASAS) forms for ADA compliance.
• Provide on-site support to COTR/RE on multiple projects across the continental U.S.
