Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Engineer to support the Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP). The role serves as on-site representative, monitoring contractor performance, preparing reports, and advising the COTR/RE across projects nationwide with about 80% travel.

The candidate will document daily activities, complete ASAS forms for ADA compliance, and ensure work adheres to contract drawings and specifications. Travel typically 1–2 week durations; located on the West Coast with flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years’ field inspection and construction oversight experience on transportation projects.
• Experience with facility renovation, rail projects, and ADA compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to continental U.S. ~80% of time.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor performance and prepare site reports.
• Provide technical guidance to the COTR/RE and verify work per contract.
• Document daily inspection activities and deviations.
• Prepare Accessibility Survey Assessment System (ASAS) forms.
• Support on-site safety culture across projects.
