Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Engineer to support the Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP). You will be the on-site representative, monitor contractor performance, and prepare daily reports to ensure ADA compliance for projects nationwide with ~80% on-site work and travel.

The final candidate could be located in CA or WA and will collaborate with the COTR/RE on safety and quality. Ideal candidates have 6–8 years of field inspection experience, strong communication skills, and a willingness to travel;

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years’ experience as a field inspector on transportation projects.
• Experience in facility renovation, rail transportation, and ADA compliance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willingness to travel ~80% across the continental U.S.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor performance and prepare reports.
• Verify contractor work conformance with contract drawings and specifications.
• Prepare Accessibility Survey Assessment System (ASAS) forms to document ADA compliance.
• Retain project reports and documentation in Unifier document control.
• Participate in weekly contract progress meetings.
• Provide on-site support to the COTR/RE.
