Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets is seeking a Culinary Field Chef to support day-to-day culinary operations across all foodservice programs in California. This role will provide hands-on operational support and coaching to Kitchen Managers, ensuring consistent execution of Vallarta standards.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of culinary leadership experience, strong knowledge of food safety, and will be responsible for training and operational improvements. The position requires frequent travel to various locations, including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in culinary, restaurant, or multi-unit operations leadership.
• Strong experience in foodservice operations and team development.
• Ability to train and lead in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide culinary and operational support across all foodservice concepts.
• Coach and support Kitchen Managers on execution and standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Deliver and model Vallarta’s Nuestra CASA service standards.
