Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, estimating, scheduling, and quality control on client projects. The role is 100% in the field across U.S.

sites, with duties spanning daily reports, inspections, progress photos, and coordination with subcontractors. Work can be performed from field or office under general supervision; travel is extensive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, conformances to drawings and specs, and subcontractor communications.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality and adherence to drawings.
• Ensure adherence to project schedule; escalate delays to Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with site construction lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs and label them for records.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revision for construction.
• Provide support to Project Construction Manager on various tasks.
• Possibly manage key trade/subcontractor tasks in support of the project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with Project Manager.
• Provide clear correspondence with project management and clients; maintain on-site records.
• Understand and follow The Perry Group Quality Policy and Quality Systems.
