Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to work in the field at client project sites. You will perform field engineering, site administration, estimating, scheduling, safety, and technical direction under general supervision, with work from field or office as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on overall field operations including scheduling, daily reports, and quality control.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and conformance to drawings.
• Ensure adherence to project schedule; escalate delays to Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports as records.
• Take progress photographs and label them appropriately.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revision for construction.
• Support Project Construction Manager as needed.
• May be responsible for key trade or subcontractor support.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with project management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records and files per document control requirements.
• Follow the Quality Policy and Quality Systems Work Instructions.
