Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, estimating, scheduling, and quality control on client projects. This role works 100% in the field and may operate from either site or office depending on project needs.

Daily reports, safety adherence, and coordination with subcontractors are key responsibilities, with travel across United States possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist site construction lead with scheduling and daily reports.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and adherence to drawings.
• Maintain project schedule and escalate delays to Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review and records.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label them.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports for the Project Construction Manager.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revision for construction.
• Provide support to the Project Construction Manager as needed.
• May lead trade/subcontractor coordination on specific aspects of the project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Communicate project issues clearly and professionally to management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records per CDM Smith document control requirements.
• Follow the CDM Smith Quality Policy and related Work Instructions.
• Understand and apply the Quality Policy statements and procedures.
