Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, and construction support at client project sites. The role involves coordinating with the site construction lead on scheduling, quality control, and documentation, while overseeing subcontractors to ensure safety and adherence to drawings.

Work is performed in the field or office depending on project needs, with 100% travel and a focus on producing accurate daily and monthly reports,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, conformance to drawings and specifications, and subcontractor communication.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure work is safe, correct, and meets quality control measures.
• Ensure adherence to the project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with site leadership and maintain as record documents.
• Take progress photos of construction events and label each photo.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports per instruction from site leadership.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revisions for construction.
• May assist Project Construction Manager and support key trade/subcontractor coordination.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Provide clear, professional correspondence with project management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records and files per CDM Smith document control requirements.
