Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to work in the field at a client project site. The role involves field engineering, site administration, estimating, scheduling, quality control, safety, and technical direction for assigned projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the site construction lead, overseeing subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and producing daily and monthly reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, plus nine years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on overall field operations: scheduling, daily/quality control reports, conformance to drawings and specs, communications with subcontractors as needed.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and intent of drawings.
• Ensure work aligns with the project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare and review Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports; maintain records.
• Take progress photos and label them for records.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports as needed.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revisions for construction.
• Support the Project Construction Manager as needed; may supervise key trades/subcontractors.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with client approval, coordinating with the Project Manager.
