Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an Intermediate Construction Professional to work in the field at client project sites across the United States. The role involves field engineering, site administration, estimating, safety adherence, and technical direction under general supervision.

Responsibilities include coordinating with site leaders on scheduling, QA/QC, daily reports, and photo documentation, with heavy emphasis on field operations in heavy industrial settings. Travel is 100% for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus 6 years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline with 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily/quality control reports, drawings conformity, and subcontractor communication.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality and adherence to drawings.
• Ensure work aligns with project schedule and escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports as records.
• Take progress photos and label each photo for records.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports for the project.
• Ensure contractors use the latest drawing revisions for construction.
• Provide support to the Project Construction Manager as needed.
• May supervise key trades or subcontractors to support the project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with the Project Manager.
• Maintain clear, professional correspondence with management and clients.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience

Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience
