Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to work in the field at client project sites across the United States. You will assist with field operations, scheduling, quality control, and reporting under general supervision.

Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality, maintaining records, and supporting the Project Construction Manager with reports and payments. This role is 100% in the field with extensive travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on overall field operations including scheduling, daily/quality control reports, conformances to drawings and specifications.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to drawings and project intent.
• Ensure work aligns with the project schedule and escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with the site construction lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label/identify each photo.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and maintain on-site records per CDM Smith requirements.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revisions and assist Project Construction Manager as needed.
• May be responsible for key trade/subcontractor support and for preparing contract extras and progress payments with client approval.
