Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to work in the field at client project sites in the heavy industrial sector. You will perform field engineering, site administration, estimating and quality control tasks under supervision and support project managers.

The role requires coordinating with site leaders, overseeing subcontractors, maintaining daily/quality reports, and ensuring adherence to drawings and schedules. 100% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on overall field operations, scheduling, daily and quality reports, conformance to drawings and specs, and subcontractor communication
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings
• Ensure work adheres to project schedule and escalate delays to Project Construction Manager
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review and record-keeping
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label each photo
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports
• Ensure contractors use latest design drawing revisions for construction
• May provide assistance to Project Construction Manager
• May be responsible for key trade/subcontractor support
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with Project Manager
• Maintain clear, professional correspondence with project management and clients
• Maintain on-site records per The Perry Group document control requirements
• Understand and follow The Perry Group Quality Policy and related instructions
• 100% travel required
