Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, design and construction support on client projects. The role is 100% field-based with travel and requires coordination with the site construction lead to ensure schedule and quality control across subcontractors.

Responsibilities include daily/quality reports, adherence to drawings, and maintaining records per control requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on overall field operations from scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, conformances to drawings and specifications, and communication with subcontractors if required.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure work is safe, correct, meets quality control measures, and aligns with drawings’ intent.
• Ensure adherence to the project schedule; escalate potential delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with the site construction lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label/identify each photograph.
• Assist site construction lead or Project Construction Manager with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revision for construction.
• May provide assistance to Project Construction Manager.
• May be responsible for key trade/subcontractor in support of overall project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval with the Project Manager.
• Provide proper correspondence with project management and clients for clear issue resolution.
• Maintain on-site records and files per The Perry Group document control requirements.
• Understand and follow The Perry Group Quality Policy and Quality Systems Work Instruction.
• Pay range minimum: $68,370
• Pay range maximum: $112,840
