Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, estimating, quality control, and scheduling for client projects. The role is field-based, with work at project sites and potential office work as needed.

Responsibilities include coordinating with site leaders, overseeing subcontractors, producing daily and quality reports, and maintaining on-site records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports and communication with subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to drawings.
• Ensure work aligns with the project schedule and escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with site leadership.
• Take progress photographs and maintain organized site records.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and ensure latest design revisions are used.
• Support Project Construction Manager and may supervise key trades or subs.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with client approval.
