Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, design and construction support at client project sites. Work is in field or office as required, under general supervision.

You will oversee scheduling, daily/quality reports, and coordination with subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with drawings and specifications across heavy industrial projects in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, conformances to drawings and specifications, and communications with subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings.
• Ensure adherence to project schedule; escalate delays to Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with site leadership.
• Take progress photographs and label each photo.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use latest design drawing revisions for construction.
• May provide assistance to Project Construction Manager.
• May supervise key trade or subcontractor activities in support of the project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with Project Manager.
• Provide clear correspondence with project management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records per document control requirements.
• Adhere to Quality Policy and Quality Systems Work Instructions.
