Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering and project support at client sites. This role focuses on field operations, reporting, safety, and coordination with subcontractors.

You will document daily reports, manage progress, verify drawings revisions, and assist the Project Construction Manager on schedule and cost control for heavy industrial projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus extensive field experience
• Associate degree or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in construction management or engineering
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on field operations, including scheduling, daily reports, quality control, drawings, and subcontractor communications.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality and alignment with drawings.
• Ensure adherence to project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare daily reports and quality inspection reports for review with site lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs and organize documentation.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revisions for construction.
• Provide support to the Project Construction Manager as needed.
• May oversee key trades or subcontractors for the project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with the Project Manager for client approval.
• Maintain clear written correspondence with management and clients.
