Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a National Catastrophe Property - Personal Lines Field Claims Specialist to inspect properties, assess damages, and manage complex claims in catastrophe zones nationwide. You will travel up to 80% to support policyholders during disasters, delivering empathetic guidance and timely resolutions.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in property claims, proficiency with Xactimate, and strong communication under high-stress conditions.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of property claims experience or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer service environment with flexibility.
• Licensure/certification requirements per jurisdiction and CAT environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and damage assessments in catastrophe zones.
• Investigate and resolve complex property claims from start to finish.
• Determine policy coverages and prepare estimates using Xactimate.
• Own full lifecycle of claims including reserving and documentation.
• Collaborate with Special Investigations and Subrogation teams as needed.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and provide proactive customer updates.
