Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a National Catastrophe Property - Personal Lines Field Claims Specialist to travel nationwide for on-site inspections, assess damages, and manage claims from start to finish. You will work in CAT environments, determine coverage, prepare estimates, and coordinate with internal teams while delivering empathetic customer service in high-stress situations.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related property claims experience or education preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance practices and claims handling.
• Ability to inspect rooftops and perform fieldwork in CAT environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site property inspections and damage assessments.
• Investigate and resolve moderate to complex property claims.
• Determine policy coverage and prepare estimates using Xactimate.
• Own the full lifecycle of claims including reserves and documentation.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
