Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Field Claims Specialist II for National Catastrophe Property - Personal Lines. You will travel nationwide to inspect properties, assess damage, determine coverage, and manage the full claims lifecycle with empathy and professionalism.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of property claims experience, CAT field exposure, and strong communication skills. Applicants should be prepared for extended deployments and rooftop inspections in CAT environments.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related property claims experience in field settings.
• Experience in CAT environments and on-site inspections.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use Xactimate for estimates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site property inspections and damage assessments in catastrophe zones.
• Investigate and resolve moderate to complex property claims from start to finish.
• Determine policy coverage and prepare estimates using tools like Xactimate.
• Own the full lifecycle of claims, including reserving, supplements, and documentation.
• Partner with internal teams (e.g., Special Investigations, Subrogation) as needed.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal standards while ensuring timely resolutions.
• Provide proactive, consistent updates to customers throughout the claims process.
