ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector to join our growing team in Massachusetts. Inspectors evaluate vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease sites, documenting condition and estimating repair costs for ACV’s digital marketplace.

Candidates should have automotive knowledge, strong English communication, and the ability to work outdoors and travel as needed. The role emphasizes trust, transparency, and customer service with a hands-on, independent work style.

Qualifications

• Experience in automobile field (body, paint or mechanical knowledge) with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Comfort with field travel and mechanical inspection tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease locations to detect damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit condition reports with cost estimates and supporting documentation.
• Help sales team with upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
• Maintain regular dealer communications and build strong relationships.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect vehicles and write reports.
