Job summary

ACV Auctions in the United States is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector who loves cars and wants to be the face of our company. You will inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease sources, identify damage and mechanical issues, and explain findings in clear terms to clients.

You will travel to sites, take detailed photos, prepare condition reports and cost estimates, and help the sales team with related services.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage, missing parts and mechanical problems.
• Prepare and submit a report of vehicle condition, repair/replacement cost estimates, and related documentation.
• Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products.
• Interface regularly with dealers to develop client satisfaction and build relationships.
• Travel to and from dealerships and homes to inspect and write condition reports for listing on the auction platform.
• Take multiple photos of vehicles and upload them to the image server; ensure photos match the vehicle.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles on the ACV Auctions platform for bidding and purchasing.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to use ACV Auctions platform.
