Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector with a passion for cars to inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease sites. You will document conditions, estimate repair costs, and support the sales team in promoting services.

Travel to various locations and communicate clearly with dealers to foster trust and satisfaction. The role requires the ability to read and write English, strong problem-solving, and a willingness to work outdoors.

Qualifications

• Experience in automobile field (body, paint or mechanical) with customer service.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and mechanical problems.
• Prepare and submit a report of vehicle condition and repair estimates.
• Help sales team upsell or cross-sell services and products.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write condition reports.
• Take photos and upload to image server using company phone and list vehicles for bidding.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to use ACV Auctions platform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
