J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Newark, New Jersey is seeking a Business Development Executive to own key accounts and drive high-value transportation sales.

You will meet with executives to present DCS, FMS and LTL solutions, lead opportunity strategy, and close deals. The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience (or 5+ years in sales/marketing), a valid driver's license, and a proven ability to build relationships, generate leads, and negotiate contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience, or 5+ years in sales/marketing or similar.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean MVR as per company standards.
• Travel to client sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lead generation activities for new and incremental business, including cold calling and networking.
• Visit prospective and existing customers at their corporate headquarters or sites as needed.
• Monitor account health via KPI reviews, revenue quality, and opportunity spotting.
• Coordinate with internal teams and customers to implement solutions and participate in kick-off.
• Meet with customers to discuss opportunities, submit proposals, finalize contracts and win business.
