Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Based Medical Science Liaison dedicated to plastic and reconstructive surgery, covering designated territories in the US, including the Northeast and Great Lakes regions. You will align medical strategy with cross-functional teams, identify stakeholders, and develop tailored engagement plans to advance clinical knowledge.

The role requires 3–5 years of field MSL or related plastic surgery experience, strong cross-functional collaboration, and deep understanding of the US

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree required.
• 3–5 years field-based MSL experience and/or plastic surgery work experience.
• Strong expertise in medical affairs, KOL engagement, and the regulatory landscape for surgical innovation.

Responsibilities

• Align on medical strategy and objectives with cross-functional partners.
• Identify and map stakeholders including KOLs, surgeons, HCPs, payers, patient groups, and internal influencers.
• Gather and analyze stakeholder data to prioritize impactful engagement.
• Develop engagement plans for plastic and reconstructive surgery.
• Design and execute coordinated objectives for each audience with defined outcomes.
• Use in-person, advisory boards, congress activities and digital platforms for engagement.
• Document insights and refine medical strategy with leadership.
