Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Based Medical Science Liaison with 3-5 years in field-based MSL roles or plastic surgery experience. This role requires managing stakeholders across KOLs, surgeons, payers, and patient groups within a defined territory in the US.

Travel is extensive, and leadership will guide scientific engagement while maintaining strict compliance. The candidate should have an advanced scientific/clinical degree and strong presentation skills to educate across scientific and clinical

Qualifications

• MD/DO/PhD/PharmD/NP/PA/RN degree preferred.
• 3–5 years field-based MSL or plastic surgery experience.
• Plastic/reconstructive surgery experience required.
• Previous management experience.

Responsibilities

• Align on medical strategy with cross-functional partners.
• Identify and map KOLs, surgeons, HCPs, payers, patient groups, and internal influencers.
• Gather data on stakeholder backgrounds and networks to prioritize engagement.
• Develop engagement plans for plastic/reconstructive surgery.
• Design and execute audience-specific objectives with defined outcomes.
• Deploy educational sessions, advisory boards, congress symposia.
• Engage via in-person or virtual meetings and events.
• Document insights and refine medical strategy with leadership.
• Maintain compliance and ethical standards.
• Track activities against benchmarks and adapt tactics to maximize value.
• Foster long-term relationships as scientific expert.
• Stay up-to-date in plastics therapeutics.
• Manage a small territory and supervise three MSLs.
