Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Based Medical Science Liaison to lead scientific engagement in plastic and reconstructive surgery. The role covers a broad territory in the United States with extensive stakeholder mapping and cross-functional collaboration to advance clinical knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced scientific or clinical degree, 3–5 years in MSL or relevant clinical plastic surgery experience, and prior leadership responsibilities. Travel is substantial to cover the territory.

Qualifications

• Field-based MSL experience in a medical affairs context.
• Experience with plastic and reconstructive surgery is required.
• Prior management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Align on medical strategy with cross-functional teams.
• Map stakeholders including KOLs, surgeons, payers and patient groups.
• Develop engagement plans and educational outcomes for target audiences.
• Lead a small team of MSLs in the field and coach new hires.
