Job summary

BD is seeking a field-based Medical Science Liaison to engage plastic and reconstructive surgery stakeholders across the US. The role emphasizes scientific engagement, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration with medical, regulatory, and commercial teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of field MSL or clinical experience in plastic surgery, with strong presentation and communication skills and deep knowledge of US healthcare and regulatory landscapes.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/PhD/PharmD/NP/PA/RN or equivalent advanced scientific credential.
• 3–5 years field-based MSL experience and/or plastic surgery clinical experience.
• Strong expertise in medical affairs, KOL engagement, and regulatory landscape specific to surgical innovation.

Responsibilities

• Align on medical strategy with cross-functional partners across medical, clinical, marketing, regulatory, R&D and market access.
• Identify, segment and map stakeholders including plastic surgeons, KOLs, payers and patient groups.
• Develop engagement plans reflecting stakeholder needs and organizational goals in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
• Design and execute coordinated objectives for audience segments with defined scientific outcomes.
• Deploy education sessions, advisory boards, congress symposia, and other engagement tactics.
• Collect and communicate insights to refine medical strategy and leadership in plastics.
