Leidos is seeking a Field/Base Network Engineer for the SMIT contract to support BAN/LAN/WAN operations, incident response, and network upgrades across Navy IT environments. You will manage a virtual team, coordinate with government KOAMs, and ensure security controls and documentation are maintained.

The role requires DoD knowledge, CCNA/CCNP certs, and ability to travel as needed. The position emphasizes leadership in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment with availability to work

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; MS/MBA with 2+ years acceptable
• DoD Secret Clearance w/ ability to upgrade to TS clearance
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification required before onboarding
• Network vendor associate level or higher certification (CCNA/CCNP) preferred
• Willingness to work off-hours and weekends as needed
• Knowledge of defense-in-depth, network security, topology, and IT device integrity

Responsabilités

• Lead operations-focused network engineering on BAN/LAN/WAN network operations and incident response
• Manage COMSEC assets and key inventories; assist with encryption devices
• Document work activities and maintain site documentation
• Coordinate software upgrades and changes to NGEN-R system and communications infrastructure
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace faulty hardware per SOPs and vendor guidance
• Interface with NOC to support incident troubleshooting and restorals
• Maintain network configuration and asset management; reflect as-is and to-be environments
• Ensure cybersecurity controls and STIG compliance; support upgrades and maintenance
