Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Field/Base Network Engineer for the SMIT contract in Hawaii. The role focuses on BAN/LAN/WAN operations, COMSEC support, and incident management within a large DOD enterprise network environment.

Ideal candidates have DoD security clearance, IAT II certification, and 5+ years of routing/switching experience. Travel and after-hours work may be required to meet mission needs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• DoD security clearance with ability to upgrade to TS.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT II certification required.
• Network vendor certifications such as CCNA/CCNP.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations-focused network engineering across BAN/LAN/WAN environments.
• Support COMSEC assets, keys, encryption devices, and related procedures.
• Document activities and maintain accurate site documentation.
• Coordinate software upgrades and changes to the NGEN-R system.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace faulty hardware per SOPs and vendor guidance.
• Interface with NOC for incident troubleshooting and restoral.
